SEOUL, Nov. 8 (Yonhap) -- South Korean animation titled "Catch! Teenieping," produced by animation studio SAMG Entertainment, has topped the Netflix Kids section in Korea as well as in the U.S. and Australia.
"Catch! Teenieping" ranked first in the kids section on Netflix in Korea as of last week while entering fifth in Australia and ninth in the U.S., four days after its launch, according to SAMG Entertainment.
Additionally, when the animation was released in China in July, "Catch! Teenieping" ranked within the top 3 for children's content on China's new media platform Youku. The cumulative number of views from video service platforms like Tencent, iQIYI, and Youku, exceeded 1.1 billion.
"Catch! Teenieping" is an animation about Princess Romi of the Emotion Kingdom solving various missions in her daily life with her friends.
"We will develop 'Catch! Teenieping' into Korea's representative global intellectual property (IP) with not only the best graphics but also new worldviews, stories, and attractive characters," Kim Su-hoon, founder of SAMG Entertainment said.
