SEOUL, May 20 (Yonhap) -- "It can be daunting to carry the title of 'JYP's new boy group.' However, we are determined to turn this pressure into a sense of responsibility," said member Yoo Woo.

The rookie boy group NEXZ, under JYP Entertainment, expressed their aspirations and determination at the showcase event for their debut single "Ride the Vibe" held at YES24 Live Hall in Seoul on the 20th.

NEXZ, which stands for "Next Z(G)eneration," embodies the ambition of JYP's chief producer Park Jin-young to usher in the next era through the music and performances of Generation Z members.

Tomoya proudly stated, "Our strength lies in our willingness to challenge new things, true to our name 'Next Generation.' We each have a unique charm and bring a free-spirited atmosphere."

The debut single includes the title track of the same name and "Starlight," a song that compares the feeling of embarking on a new dream to a star-filled night.

The title track "Ride the Vibe" is an 'Easy-Experimental' genre song that combines hip-hop rhythms with electronic elements. It captures the excitement, anxiety, and thrill of first experiences through its lyrics.

Yuki shared, "When the seven of us first gathered and listened to the music, we couldn't help but move to the rhythm. We were thrilled at the thought that this song would become ours."

The members also shared the advice they received from producer Park Jin-young and senior group Stray Kids during their preparation for debut.

Yoo Woo mentioned, "Producer Park Jin-young advised us to maintain our passion and never lose our beginner's mindset. We will strive to show our continuous effort." Yuki added, "The Stray Kids seniors encouraged us to 'keep fighting together' and reminded us to maintain good relationships among members, which was memorable advice."

NEXZ also expressed their desire to make their name known worldwide. They aim to capture the hearts of fans not only in Korea and Japan but also globally.

"We prepared for our debut at JYP driven by a passion for dancing and singing. As JYP artists, we want to showcase NEXZ's charm wherever we can perform our music and dance," said Hui.
