SEOUL, Oct. 5 (Yonhap) -- KBS has announced Tuesday to have confirmed the title for their new comedy program which will continue the glorious days of “Gag Concert.” The confirmed title is “GaSeungJa” (translated).
The title is a conjunction of “gag” and “gaeseungja,” which means “heir.” It is also short for Korean phrase meaning, “Those who compete with gag.”
Earlier last month, through their official Instagram page, the broadcaster accepted proposals for the program’s official title, which was known with its temporary title, “Road to Gag-Con” (translated), at the time.
“We sincerely thank all the participants. We hope for lots of cheers and votes for ‘GaSeungJa’ which will make you laugh out your belly buttons with its first episode on Nov. 13,” said KBS.
KBS open comedy program will be back in 1 year and 3 months. The upcoming heir of “Gag Concert” will be a survival program in which comedians form teams and compete to advance for the next or the final round. Viewers will decide each round’s survivors through votes.
