SEOUL, May 14 (Yonhap) -- New Song 'Supernova' by K-pop girl group Aespa has risen to the top of domestic and international music charts.

According to SM Entertainment on the 14th, 'Supernova,' released at 6 p.m. the previous day, recorded first place on Bugs' real-time chart and 17th place on Melon's 'Top 100' chart.

Moreover, it claimed the top spot on QQ Music's digital album sales chart, overall music video chart, and Korean music video chart, Tencent Music's K-pop chart, and Kuwo Music's digital album chart in China. It also topped the AWA real-time rising chart on Japan's local music platform.

Aespa's latest track also reached number one on the iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in countries including Thailand, Vietnam, Brazil, Oman, the Philippines, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia.

'Supernova' is one of the double title tracks from Aespa's first full album. It's an impressive dance track with a weighty kick and bass-based minimal track sound, metaphorically describing the beginning of a massive explosion inside oneself as a supernova.

Aespa's first full album 'Armageddon' is set to be released on the 27th.
