NCT's Haechan suspends activities due to high fever

Haechan of K-pop boy group NCT will temporarily halt his activities due to illness, his agency said on Wednesday.

"Haechan, who was in Japan for scheduled activities, returned to Korea on the 8th due to cold symtoms, including body aches and high fever. After visiting the hospital, the medical team advised that he needs sufficient rest as he is in a severe condition of tonsillitis,” the singer’s agency, SM Entertainment, said in a statement.

"Haechan will take a break for a while to ensure a quick recovery,” it added.

The firm said Haechan would be excused from the “Circle Chart Music Awards 2023” held in Busan later that day. NCT Dream completed the event with six members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung.

SM stated, "Participation in future schedules will be determined based on Haechan's recovery status."
