SEOUL, April 30 (Yonhap) -- Namhae Foundation For Tourism and Culture announced on the 30th that it will be holding a Namhae Passport Stamp Tour under the theme of "Traveling Overseas to the Treasure Island Namhae" from May.
It allows visitors to explore the international tourist spots in Namhae as if they were traveling abroad, by offering a stamp for each spot in their fake passport.
There are 10 target sites including the German Village, Daraengi Village (Positano, Italy), Seomi Garden (Giverny, France), Sheep Ranch (Swiss Alps), House N Garden (Netherlands), Seolri Skywalk (Bali, Indonesia), Yi Sun-sin Park, (Hungarian Heroes' Square), Topia Land (Levens Hall, England), National Recreation Forest (Northern Europe), and Namhae Traditional Market (South Korea).
Namhae-gun plans to provide a haerangi doll to the first 1,000 participants who succeed in collecting 10 stamps.
Anyone who visits Namhae-gun can participate and the fake passports can be received from the Namhae Tour Platform in Namhaegak.
"We hope to sooth the tourists' nostalgia for overseas travel with the Namhae passport stamp tour and make the Namhae passport as another unique souvenir," said an official from the foundation.
