SEOUL, Dec. 6 (Yonhap) -- Lotte Culture Works announced on Tuesday that "Superflex," a large-scale premium theater at Lotte Cinema World Tower in Seoul, has been upgraded for the first time in eight years.
By improving 34m width screen, sound system as well as seats, they have upgraded its quality as the premium theater.
The screen, considering its curves, has been reformed so that viewers in all seats can watch the movie with same brightness.
Shaker, which supplements light shaking phenomenon, has been set,to the maximum on a national level, behind the screen, and 4K dual laser beam projector, which is double the brightness and quality of regular laser beam projector, have implemented.
Dolby 136 package speaker, which is based off of Dolby Atmost, is also set up so that all audiences can listen to the sound evenly.
Lotte Culture Works explained that they have installed the largest baffle system in Korea to reduce reflection sound.
The number of seats has been reduced to 295 seats, that is less than half of 628 seats in the past, to provide larger spaces for audiences to watch the movie.
For the front seats, 'Bean bag' styled seats, which are filled with filler materials so that the shape of the seat can change depending on the user's position, and 'Sofa Bed,' which can be used like a bed once the seat is unfolded, have been set.
Regular seats have been replaced with Recliner, in which degrees of seats and feet holder can be switched.
For the 'Sweet Spot' area seats, Recliners, in which body engineering technology have been applied , side table, wireless charger, and bag holder have been placed.
Second floor couple seats, which are in the form of balcony, have been replaced to separated booth-shaped seats to be completely separated from other audiences, and reclining sofa and sound control system have been placed.
Users of Sweet spot and studio seats will be provided waters and in-door slippers.
Lotte Culture Works is also planning to re-new super flex theaters in Eunpyeong, Dongtan, Suwon, Unjeong.
The CEO of Lotte Culture Works said, newly furnished Superflex theater will "provide audiences viewing environment in which they can be fully immersed and have never experienced," adding, "We plan to create new theater cultures."
