SEOUL, Dec. 12 (Yonhap) -- Singer and actress Suzy will play as famous retired idol at Netflix's new series "Lee Doona!."

Netflix has announced on Monday that they have confirmed the production of "Lee Doona!" and cast actors Suzy and Yang Se-jong.

The drama,based on writer Min Song-ah's naver webtoon of the same name, depicts romance between ordinary college student and former popular idol.

Suzy has taken the role of Lee Doona who was a main vocal of K-pop idol group and was the center of attention but suddenly retires and stays at share house in a university town.

Yang Se-jong plays Lee Won-joon ordinary college student with nothing but has warm heart that Lee Doona can rely on.

Lee Jeong-hyo who directed "Crash Landing on You," "Romance Is a Bonus Book," "The Good Wife," etc. will direct.
