SEOUL, Dec. 8 (Yonhap) —Actress Moon Geun-young was selected as the winner of the new award this year, the "Kang Soo-yeon award," at the Women in Film Korea Festival, according to Women in Film Korea on Thursday.
Moon Geun-young, who debuted in 1999 with the movie "On the Way," appeared in the films "A Tale of Two Sisters" (2003), "My Little Bride" (2004), "Love Me Not" (2006), and "Glass Garden" (2017).
The Kang Soo-yeon Award was established to commemorate the late Kang Soo-yeon, who started as a child actor, worked as an actor for more than 50 years, and raised the status of Korean film.
