SEOUL, March 18 (Yonhap) -- SM Entertainment, the agency of the group NCT, announced on the 18th that Taeyong will enlist as an active-duty sailor in the Navy on the 15th of next month.
On the day of his enlistment at the Naval Recruit Training Center, there will be no separate official event, and Taeyong will enter privately to prevent safety accidents. He will serve in the Navy Band.
In a handwritten letter on this day, Taeyong wrote, "There may be those who have prepared their hearts for the time when we have to be apart for a while, and there may be those who are surprised." He continued, "Looking back on the time until now, I have been able to mature a lot thanks to all of you and the members."
He expressed gratitude, saying, "Every moment has been truly meaningful and happy," and added, "I am thankful for the precious and shining moments you have given me." Taeyong promised, "I have many things I want to achieve with the members and fans in the future, so I will work hard during my military service and learn many things."
