Osulloc opens "Matcha Station" at Jeju Tea Museum

SEOUL, March 16 (Yonhap) -- South Korea’s luxury tea brand Osulloc has opened a "Matcha Station" at the Osulloc Tea Museum on Jeju Island, the company said Monday.

The space is the brand’s second matcha-focused experiential area following the "Matcha Station" unveiled last year at the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam Branch.

The "Matcha Station" is an interactive customer experience zone where visitors can enjoy fresh matcha made by grinding shade-grown Jeju tea leaves on the spot.

Using an electric matcha grinder installed in the store, visitors can blend and taste matcha themselves.

The Jeju Tea Museum’s "Matcha Station" also offers exclusive products and specialty menu items.

These include "Jeju Pure Matcha," freshly ground matcha packaged in a premium tin can, as well as ready-to-drink beverages such as "Jeju Draft Matcha" and "Jeju Draft Matcha Latte," designed for convenient consumption.

The brand has also prepared "Jeju Matcha Honey Syrup," which can be paired with matcha to add a sweet flavor.

Following the opening of the "Matcha Station" at the Jeju Tea Museum, Osulloc plans to launch additional spaces within the year to offer expanded tea experiences.

The company aims to broaden tea culture beyond simply drinking it, encouraging customers to eat, enjoy and experience tea through expanded experiential content.
