TWICE Achieves 20 Million in Cumulative Album Sales in Korea, Japan

SEOUL, May 23 (Yonhap) -- JYP Entertainment announced on the 23rd that TWICE has surpassed 20 million cumulative album sales in Korea and Japan. 

 

According to the agency, TWICE's total sales from 43 albums recently released in both countries have reached 20,013,182 copies.

 

In South Korea, TWICE has sold a total of 14,565,638 copies, starting from their debut mini-album 'The Story Begins' in 2015 to Jihyo's solo debut album 'ZONE', according to Circle Chart shipment data. 

 

In Japan, their sales have totaled 5,447,544 copies, beginning with their Japanese debut best album '#TWICE' in June 2017 to the debut album 'Masterpiece' by the unit MISAMO, based on Warner Music Japan data.

 

Entering their 10th year since debut, TWICE continues to thrive, with their 13th mini-album 'With YOU-th' reaching number one on Billboard's main chart 'Billboard 200' in March. Their cumulative streams on the global music platform Spotify have exceeded 10 billion.

 

Furthermore, TWICE is set to embark on their fifth world tour 'READY TO BE' with stadium concerts in Japan. They will perform at Osaka's Yanmar Stadium Nagai on July 13-14, Tokyo's Ajinomoto Stadium on July 20-21, and will make history as the first K-pop female artist to perform at Kanagawa's Nissan Stadium on July 27-28.

 

TWICE's Japanese studio album 'DIVE' is also scheduled for release on the 17th of July.
