SEOUL, Mar. 2 (Yonhap) -- The Gangnam Police Station in Seoul has announced on Thursday that it has arrested a 31-year-old athlete from the national team on charges of assaulting his girlfriend.

According to the police, the athlete is accused of assaulting his girlfriend at his home in Cheongdam-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 23rd of last month.
