SEOUL, June 7 (Yonhap) – K-pop superband BTS will hold “#MyBTStory Challenge” through YouTube Shorts, a short-form video-sharing platform offered by YouTube.

YouTube announced on Tuesday that it will exclusively hold #MyBTStory Challenge on YouTube Shorts from June 11 to July 9.

The challenge is set to be held to mark the release of the band’s new album “Proof” on June 10. The album compiles the group's nine-year-long activities since its debut in June, 2013.

According to YouTube, the challenge contains the meaning that ARMY(BTS’ fan club name) and music fans from all around the world share “unforgettable moments” with BTS through YouTube Shorts and reflect on them.

YouTube expected that short videos of BTS, which feature the new album’s title song "Yet To Come" and other hit songs as background music, will show the deep bond of BTS, ARMY and its music fans.

BTS will release a "ARMY tribute video" containing some of the shorts videos on its official YouTube channel following the end of the challenge.
