SEOUL, April 22 (Yonhap) -- An experience event to taste the coffee loved by Emperor Gojong, who reigned as the last King of Joseon, and as the first Emperor of Korea, will be held at Seokjojeon Hall, a Western Building built in the Deoksugung palace.

The Cultural Heritage Administration Royal Palaces and Tombs Center along with the Korea Cultural Heritage Foundation, will hold the event, "Seokjojeon at Night" from 3rd May till 12th June.

"Seokjojeon at Night," which began last year, consists of a night tour along Seokjojeon, a terrace cafe experience where one can enjoy coffee and snacks, and a performance made on the background of the Korean Empire.

Seokjojeon, which was completed in 1910 was built by King Gojong to be used as the royal palace hall of the Korean Empire. Since 2014, the hall has been used as the Daehan Empire Historical Museum. Inside, there are rooms including the reception room, dining room, bedroom, and a study.

The event starts at 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. With 16 people per session, it lasts for 1 hour and 20 minutes. It costs 26,000 won.

The ticket can be bought from 2 p.m. on the 22nd at the Interpark Ticket website. For people over 65, the disabled, and those of national merit, a phone call reservation is also available. However, the tickets for 10th-22nd May, which is the period for the Royal Culture Festival will be sold during a separate period.
