SEOUL,
Nov. 10 (Yonhap) --
According to SK Jaewon, Sung will stage the concert, “Sung Si-kyung,” at KSPO Dome in Seoul Olympic Park from Dec. 25 to 28.
On his Instagram account, the singer wrote, “I’ve decided to take on the challenge of a year-end concert for my fans who have supported and waited for me, and most of all, for myself,” adding, “I’ll take good care of my body and mind and prepare for a warm and meaningful close to the year.”
Earlier this month, SK Jaewon said that Sung had suffered financial damage from a manager who had worked with him for more than a decade. The agency did not disclose how the losses occurred.
After initially expressing uncertainty about holding the year-end show, Sung said he was encouraged to go forward with it thanks to the support of his colleagues.
“I received many kind messages of encouragement not only from fellow singers but also from people in broadcasting and others I’ve worked with,” he said. “It has been a time for me to reflect deeply on who I am and what it means to be a singer.”
The “Sung Si-kyung” concert is the artist’s annual signature event. Celebrating the 25th anniversary of his debut this year, Sung will perform his well-known hits accompanied by a live band.
