SEOUL, Jan. 27 (Yonhap) -- Chairman Bang Si-hyuk, who founded the HYBE, home to BTS, was included in the “Power List” of Billboard, an American music media.

In the “2022 Billboard Power List,” released on Wednesday (U.S. Time), Chairman Bang and the two CEOs of HYBE America, Scooter Braun and Lenzo Yoon (Korean name: Yoon Seok-jun) were included as the eighteenth of the top 25.

Billboard releases the “Power List,” after choosing the most influential people in the global music industry every year.

This is the second time Chairman Bang was included in the “Power List,” since 2020.

The two CEOs of HYBE America also put their names on the list this year.

Scooter Braun, who sold Ithaca Holdings to HYBE, was in the “Power List” since 2013. The CEO was also chosen as one of the Variety500 in 2021.

CEO Yoon was chosen as “Billboard International Power Players” and “Billboard Indie Power Players" last year.

Billboard introduced HYPE and HYBE America and said, “The two (CEOs) will adapt the K-pop business model for the U.S. market while developing new talent.”

Scott Borchetta, the CEO of Big Machine Label Group, under HYBE America, and Allison Kaye, head of SB Projects was also in this year’s “Power List.”

“Being selected in the ‘Power List’ only half a year after the announcement of full-fledged global management, is a result of HYBE’s continued innovation and growth by expanding the boundaries of the music industry,” explained HYBE.
