SEOUL, Feb. 17 (Yonhap) -- American sports equipment manufacturing company TaylorMade Golf Company has named Kwon Yu-ri, better known by her mononym Yuri, from the South Korean girl group Girls’ Generation as the brand’s new face.
Singer and actress Yuri, who is well known to enjoy playing golf as her pastime, has occasionally uploaded photos of playing golf herself on her social media places. Yuri is known to be playing with TaylorMade’s Stealth Glory model for women.
The 33-year-old singer said, “I am so happy to be the new face of TaylorMade as I love playing golf myself,” adding, “I will make sure to drive up the standards of style and performance of golfing with Stealth Glory.”
TaylorMade previously appointed American actor Daniel Phillip Henney, who made himself known internationally with his television debut on the Korean television series “My Lovely Sam Soon,” as the brand’s face.
