SEOUL, Aug, 30 (Yonhap) -- Boy band TXT (Tomorrow X Together) has re-entered top 10 on Billboard Main Album Chart, “Billboard 200,” ranking No. 8 with “Chapter of Chaos: Freeze” thanks to their 2nd regular repackage album, according to Billboard News on the 29th (local time).
Their fandom in North America has grown larger as the band has ranked its highest No. 5 on Billboard with the album which was released in May.
The album has stayed in top ranks on Billboard 200 for 9 consecutive weeks before sliding down but has managed to return on 8th place this week.
The climb-back-up is due to the added sales of their newly released “Chapter of Chaos: FIGHT OR ESCAPE,” a repackage album of their previous “Chapter of Chaos: Freeze.”
The repackage album which added 3 new songs to the previous album’s tracks, was dropped in the Northern American region on the 20th.
“The artist has acquired 47,000 equivalent album units which is a 667% increase compared with last week thanks to the re-release of their deluxe version,” said Billboard.
Through the rock-sound based “Chapter of Chaos” series, the group tries to deliver lyrics that contain honest feelings of gen Z. Their emocore and pop-funk genre has gained interest from gen Z as there is an up-trend for that music style.
“LO$ER=LO♡ER,” the title song of the repackage album is an emocore pop-funk as well. The members perform using stand-mics which resembles the figure of a rocker.
