SEOUL, July 8 (Yonhap) -- K-pop stars HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung are set to marry in October, just nine months after making their relationship public.
According to the music industry sources on the 8th, the couple will hold their wedding ceremony on October 11 at Samcheonggak in Seoul, officially becoming husband and wife.
HyunA's agency, At Area, announced, "HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung, who have been a great comfort to each other during difficult times, have decided to bear the fruit of their love and promise marriage. The ceremony will take place in October with close friends and family, marking the beginning of their new life together."
The agency added, "We are grateful to everyone who has supported them with warm regards and ask for continued blessings for HyunA's future as an artist and individual as she makes this significant decision."
HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung publicly revealed their relationship in January this year by posting a photo of them walking hand-in-hand on their social media accounts. They tagged each other in the posts, with HyunA commenting, "Please look upon us kindly."
In April, HyunA appeared on a YouTube channel and expressed her affection for Yong Jun-hyung, saying, "I'm so grateful to have met someone who gives me the courage to work."
HyunA and Yong Jun-hyung share a history from their time at Cube Entertainment, where HyunA was a member of the girl group 4Minute and Yong Jun-hyung was a member of the group Beast (now Highlight).
HyunA debuted with Wonder Girls in 2007, later joining 4Minute and achieving success as a solo artist with hits like "Change," "Bubble Pop!," and "Red."
Yong Jun-hyung debuted with Beast in 2009, gaining recognition as a rapper and producer with several hit songs. He left the group in 2019 and has since continued his career as a solo artist after completing his military service.
