The plum tree, believed to be more than 600 years old, at Ojukheon, in Gangneung on South Korea's east coast has begun to bloom. The tree related to Yulgok Yi I, a renowned Confucian scholar and politician in the mid-Joseon Dynasty, was once considered dead. (Yonhap)
