TVING unveils premiere date of original series ‘Island’ part 2

SEOUL, Jan. 26 (Yonhap) – TVING, a South Korean online streaming service, has unveiled the premiere date of part 2 of the original web series “Island,” starring Kim Nam-gil, Cha Eun-woo, and Lee Da-hee. The 2nd part of the enthralling fantasy drama series will be hitting the small screens on Feb. 24.

Based on a well-known South Korean webcomic of the same name, “Island” is a South Korean web series revolves around the struggle Van – played by Kim Nam-gil –, Won Mi Ho – played by Lee Da-hee –, and Priest Johan – played by Cha Eun-woo – face in Jeju Island where they come to fight against evil spirits that attempt to destroy the world. The last episode of the 1st part was released on Jan. 13.

Part 2 also depicts the two protagonists’ journey who face the challenge of dealing the evil spirits; the latter half of this action-packed series will also be released overseas through Amazon Prime Video, as the first part was.
