SEOUL March 21 (Yonhap) -- On the 21st, KBS announced the launch of a global idol debut project.

Scheduled to premiere in May, KBS 2TV's "MA1" will feature 36 multinational participants competing towards their dream of becoming idols.

Unlike typical idol survival shows where trainees from agencies participate, "MA1" will feature boys who were leading ordinary lives without agency affiliations.

The vocal coaching team will be led by singers Lim Han Byul and Kim Sung Eun, while the dance coaching team will consist of Vata and Ingyoo from the group We Dem Boyz, and Hanhae as the rap coach.

Mamamoo's leader, Solar, will also support the participants in blossoming their potential, and each episode will feature various artists as "special coaches."
