SEOUL, Feb. 20 (Yonhap) - Netflix has announced on Monday that it will produce the mystery series "Alone in the Woods" (working title) starring Kim Yun-seok, Lee Jung-eun, and Yoon Kye-sang.
This series is a story about a pension owner whose life began to collapse due to a suspicious woman who appeared at a pension one summer, struggling to protect his precious life.
Actor Kim Yun-seok, who starred in the movies “Escape from Mogadishu”, “1987” and “The Thieves”, plays Jeon Young-ha, who runs a pension in a deep forest.
Yoon Kye-sang plays Koo Sang-joon, a former motel owner who loses everything that was precious due to an incident at a motel, which was a precious home of his family, in the early summer of the 2000s.
Yoo Seong-ah, who is strangely obsessed with the pension run by Jeon Young-ha, will be played by Go Minsi, and Yoon Bo-min, the police chief from the violent crime squad who persistently digs into the case, will be played by Lee Jung-eun.
The drama unfolds the story in a way that the current pension owner Jeon Young-ha and the past motel owner Koo Sang-joon, who live in different time zones, face similar events that shake their lives, but make different choices.
Director Mo Wan-il, who won the 56th Baeksang Arts Awards for directing TV category for the drama "The World of the Married” (2020), directs the series. It will be co-produced by SLL and Studio Flow.
