SEOUL August, 22 (Yonhap) -- The Gyeongju National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage, along with ICOMOS-KOREA (Korea National Committee of the International Council on Monuments and Sites), will be hosting a conference to discuss about the conservation and management of the royal capital of Silla World Heritage Site in the Hilton Hotel on August 25.

This conference will be held under the theme "The 5Cs Approach to the Conservation and Management of the Royal Capital of Silla World Heritage Site."

The 5Cs refer to five strategic goals, "Credibility," "Conservation," "Capacity-Building," "Communication" and "Communities" to promote the implementation of the World Heritage Convention, developed by the World Heritage Committee in UNESCO.

At this conference, participants will be having comprehensive discussions on the current status and future of heritage conservation and management of the Silla royal capital.

One can freely participate in the conference after registering at the site.
