SEOUL, Sept. 30 (Yonhap) -- More than 50,000 songs of "original" K-pop which were released in the past by Na Hoon-a and Cho Yong-pil will be available on overseas music sites.
Music&NEW, a subsidiary of South Korean media content production company Next Entertainment World (NEW), announced on Thursday that it has signed a strategic partnership with record company Oasis Record Music Company.

Music&NEW will distribute a total of 130,000 songs, including 50,000 songs released by Na Hoon-a, Cho Yong-pil, Joo Hyun-mi, Shin Jung-hyeon, and Kim Choo-ja, owned by Oasis Record, to overseas music platforms such as Spotify, TikTok, QQ Music, and Line Music.

Founded in 1952, Oasis Record is the nation's longest-running music company, which has a large number of unreleased albums and original recording tapes of artists representing an era in the music industry.
Through this partnership, Music&NEW plans to introduce music and artists that are currently the roots of K-pop to the world.
Kim Seung-min, CEO of Music&NEW, said, "We will be able to show the originality of our popular music in a trendy fashion to people around the world. I hope this partnership will serve as an opportunity to expand the spectrum of K-pop."
