SEOUL, Jan. 31 (Yonhap) -- BOYNEXTDOOR has kicked off their first solo tour, BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR 'KNOCK ON Vol.1', with performances in Japan.

The group started the tour with a concert at Tachikawa Stage Garden in Tokyo on Thursday.

They will meet fans in six Japanese cities: Aichi on February 2, Osaka on February 8-9, Miyagi on February 15, Fukuoka on February 18-19, and Kanagawa on February 22-24. This marks BOYNEXTDOOR’s first solo concerts in Japan, with all 12 performances selling out immediately upon ticket release.

Through their agency, KOZ Entertainment, the group shared their excitement: “Meeting WONDOOR (fan club name) at our Incheon concert last year was truly a dream come true. Now, we’re thrilled to connect with even more fans through our Japan tour. We’ve prepared special performances just for this tour, so please look forward to them! We’ll do our best to repay the love you’ve given us.”

BOYNEXTDOOR is receiving significant attention in Japan. Their digital single One and Only (released January 6) debuted at No. 1 on Spotify Japan’s Viral Songs chart (January 20) and ranked 14th on Billboard Japan’s Streaming Songs chart (for the period of January 13-19), marking the highest achievement for a 5th-generation K-pop boy group.

Due to this enthusiastic response, a Japanese version of the song, Kyo-Dake I Love You, will be released at midnight on January 31. Additionally, their debut Japanese single AND, surpassed 250,000 shipments within its first month of release last July, earning Platinum certification from the Gold Disc Awards.

To celebrate the Japan tour, pop-up stores will be held, offering official merchandise and items featuring the group’s character Ppuneckdo. The Tokyo pop-up store runs from January 25 to February 5, while the Osaka store operates from February 1 to February 9.

The tour, which began in Incheon on December 14-15, will continue beyond Japan, reaching Singapore on March 15, Manila on March 22, Bangkok on March 29, Taipei on April 3, Hong Kong on April 6, and Jakarta on April 12.
