Space-survival film 'The Moon' pre-sold in 155 countries

SEOUL, June 26 (Yonhap) -- South Korean filmmaker Kim Yong-hwa’s upcoming sci-fi film “The Moon” has been pre-sold in 155 countries worldwide, its distributor said Monday.

This space-survival film depicts Korea’s first crewed lunar exploration mission and isolation in space, according to CJ ENM. In the film, former head of the space center, played by Sul Kyung-gu, struggles to rescue his expedition staff, played by idol-turned-actor Do Kyung-soo.

Among the film's buyers are the United States, Australia, Germany, Spain, Italy and Thailand, CJ ENM said. 

The Moon will hit the local theaters on August 2.
