K-pop girl group IVE to take stage at Lollapalooza

SEOUL March 21 (Yonhap) -- S.Korean girl group IVE and VCHA are set to perform at the renowned US music festival, Lollapalooza Chicago.

According to Lollapalooza's official social media accounts on the 19th (local time), IVE is among the lineup for the event scheduled to take place from August 1 to 4 at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois.

Lollapalooza has been a major music festival held annually in Chicago since 1991. Featuring around 170 popular groups each year, the festival attracts an average of 100,000 attendees per day, totaling around 400,000 over the course of four days.

Previously, renowned acts such as Paul McCartney, Metallica, and Coldplay have graced the festival's stages.

JYP Entertainment's rookie global girl group, VCHA, also made it onto this year's festival lineup. Earlier, their agency seniors, Stray Kids, were announced as headliners for Lollapalooza this year.

VCHA's inclusion in the festival lineup comes just two months after their debut in January of this year, marking a significant achievement for the rookie group.
