SEOUL, Dec. 9 (Yonhap) -- Director Park Chan-wook's movie "Decision to Leave" made the Top 5 list of for this year's "Top 5 International Films" by the National Review Board (NBR) on Friday.
"Decision to Leave" was ranked along with four other international films: "All Quient on the Western Front," "Argentina,1985," "EO," and "Saint Ommer."
The National Review Committee annually selects excellent films among international films and put them in two categories: "Best International Film" and "Top 5 International Film."
This year's best international film went to "Close," which won the Cannes Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in May.
"Top Gun: Maverick" starring Tom Cruise won Best Film, the highest honor.
The film became a hit all over the world, drawing attention globally as a sequel released 36 years after "Top Gun" (1986).
Steven Spielberg, who directed "The Fablemans," won the Best Director award.
Colin Farrell, who starred in the black comedy film "The Banshees of Inisherin," won the Best Actor award, and the Best Actress award went to Micheele Yeoh from science fiction film "Everything Everywhere All At Once.
