SEOUL, Feb. 24 (Yonhap) – While Marvel Studios’ “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” continues to dominate the box office in Korea, new films such as “Count” and “Missing” are to invite audiences for the first weekend.
According to the Korea Box-office Information System on Friday, Jin Sun-kyu’s first solo lead film “Count” and digital tracking thriller “Missing” which were released simultaneously on the 22nd, have ranked second and fourth in the box office, respectively, and performed well at the beginning of its release.
"Count" was watched by 77,000 people and "Missing" by 67,000 people for two days from the 22nd to the 23rd, respectively.
Since its release on the 15th, "Ant-Man 3" has attracted 1.06 million people and has maintained the top in the box office. The Japanese animation 'The First Slam Dunk', which has led to the retro craze, is ranked third. The cumulative number of spectators is 3.4 million.
The recently released animated films are also aiming for a turnaround. Various animation works such as "OCTONAUTS: Above & Beyond – Season 2" "Duda&Dada The Secret of HooHoo Island," "Amazing Morris" and "My Sweet Monster" await the audience.
