SEOUL, Mar. 3 (Yonhap) -- The Korean Academy of Film Arts (KAFA), organized by Korean Film Council, will hold graduation film festivals in Seoul and Busan from Friday.

During the festivals, a total of 30 films, including those that were produced as a part of the KAFA regular course (39th) and feature-length course (15th), will be screened under the slogan “Be Rich in, Film.” The festival in Seoul will be held at Megabox Seongsu from Friday to Sunday, which will be followed by the festival in Busan at the Cinema Tech of the Busan Cinema Center on Mar. 11.

For the regular course graduation works, 10 short films, including “Sara” (directed by Lee Hyun-kyung) and “Hall” (Hwang Hye-in), will be screened along with 2 animated films. A total of 8 feature-length films, including “Vinyl House” (Lee Sol-hee) which won the CGV Award, will be introduced as the graduation works for the KAFA feature-length course.

The KAFA, which marks its 40th anniversary this year, has been serving as home to more than 700 film prodigies and masters in the Korean film industry, including Bong Joon-ho, Jang Jun-hwan, and Choi Dong-hoon. The Academy’s vision is to grow into the “World’s Best Film School.”
