SEOUL, April 17 (Yonhap) -- Chowon of K-pop girl group ICHIILLIN’ momentarily collapsed and was rushed to hospital after being struck by a foul ball while attending a professional baseball game. The singer has suspended her activities to take a break.
According to her agency, KM ENT, on the 17th, Chowon was struck by a foul ball on the back of her head while watching the game before a halftime performance.
Chowon was immediately moved to the team's medical room and was reported to have briefly lost consciousness. She was subsequently transferred to a nearby hospital for detailed examinations.
The agency explained, "After being moved to the medical room following the incident, she experienced brief pain, likely due to the release of tension." They further clarified, "She is currently resting without any particular issues, receiving treatment and examinations from specialized medical professionals."
However, based on the opinions of medical experts, it has been deemed necessary for her to focus on sufficient rest, stability, and dedicated treatment without fulfilling her schedule for the time being.
As a result, April will continue their activities temporarily with the remaining six members, excluding Chowon.
