'Busan Travel Film Festa 2022' to kick off on August 5

SEOUL, July 29 (Yonhap) -- “Busan Travel Film Festa 2022” will kick off in Busan Cinema Center on August 5.

The film festival which will be held from August 5 to August 7 in Busan Cinema Center and small theater will feature movies perfect for the summer.

“Im Off Then” directed by Julia Von Heinz, “My Extraordinary Summer with Tess”’ by Steven Wouterlood, “PARIS 13TH DISTRICT” by Jacques Audiard, “There Is No Lid on the Sea” by Keisuke Toyoshima, “Hope Gap” by William Nicholson will be screened throughout the festival.

“I’m Off Then” is a movie based on a true story of a famous comedian Hape Kerkeling, how the burnout syndrome, which led him to travel to Camino de Santiago also known as the way of St. James. The movie is based on Harpe Kerkeling’s book "Ich bin dann mal weg."

“Hope Gap” directed by William Nicholson, is about a family member with various personalities who have lived together for 29 years.

One day, wife who has an outgoing personality declares to leave the family, which leads her husband to fall deeply into sadness. Meanwhile, son feels frustrated after hearing about the news, but eventually understands how his parents emotional changes.

Director William Nicholson, is known for writing scripts to, “Les Miserables“ from 2012, “Unbroken” from 2014,“Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom” from 2013, “Breath” from 2017.

“My Extraordinary Summer with Tess” is about a touching plot of protagonist Sam who is serious but yet very extraordinary and interesting girl Tess at the vacation spot.

Throughout the festival, flee market “Lets Travel” and food zone “Lets Eat” and more will also be in place to greet the visitors.
