SEOUL, Sept. 27 (Yonhap) -- CJ ENM and music label HYBE announced Monday that they will introduce a second season of the survival reality show "I-Land" to form a girl group following rookie K-pop boy group Enhypen.

The new girl group created through "I-Land 2" will be managed by Belift Lab, which is the same management agency for Enhypen.

Regardless of nationality, any female participants born after Jan. 1, 2000 and before Dec. 31, 2009 can apply for the audition.

The application period starts from Monday noon and ends at midnight on Oct. 10 in Korean time. Participants can apply through the Belift Lab online website (beliftlab.com) by submitting a self-introduction and a video on their selected application area.

Auditions will be held sequentially in seven regions around the world, starting with Korea in October, including Japan, Vietnam, Australia, Thailand and the United States. The survival program is scheduled to air in the first half of next year.

Enhypen, a seven-member band was formed through the first season of "I-Land," which aired on Korean broadcaster Mnet from last June to September. "I-Land" recorded more than 44 million cumulative global online live viewers with CJ ENM's IP (intellectual property) planning and production capabilities of HYBE, which is the K-pop powerhouse behind acts like BTS, Tomorrow X Together and Seventeen.

Debuted last November, Enhypen has established its own position as K-pop artists by drawing attention from the global music industry, such as landing No. 18 on Billboard's main albums chart and topping the Oricon weekly album chart in Japan for two consecutive weeks.
