SEOUL, Nov. 20 (Yonhap) -- Announcer turned actress Hwang Bo-mi who has been speculated of having dated a married man explained, “I didn’t know he was married.”
Her management agency B.O.T Company confirmed that Hwang has been sued for alimony in responsibility of having destroyed a marriage. “It is true that she had a relationship with the man confirmed in the letter, but she was unaware of his marriage until she received the document,” added the company Saturday.
Hwang claims that that the man started having relationship with her hiding his wife and child. Later he showed her a manipulated marriage certificate that did not include any marriage or divorce history.
“It is not true that I dated him knowing that he was married in the first place. For whatever reason I sincerely apologize for having caused a social issue with a private matter,” added Hwang.
Earlier, a controversy rose as Hwang was revealed to have been sued for 50 million won of alimony for having a relationship with a married man.
Hwang who appeared in the entertainment scene as an actress, worked as an announcer for SBS Sports Channel from 2014 and returned to be an actress to appear in the series, “Criminal Mind,” “Gangnam Scandal” and “Good Casting.”
