SEOUL, May 27 (Yonhap) -- "We're so thrilled to celebrate our 9th anniversary in such a grand venue with Carats (Seventeen's fandom) from all over the world," said Hoshi.

On the afternoon of the 26th, Seventeen held their solo concert 'Follow Again to Japan' at Japan's Nissan Stadium. The group expressed their gratitude and excitement, having performed at the same venue the previous day as well.

"This being our last show at Nissan Stadium, we want to give it our all and leave no regrets," they added.

Over two days, Seventeen performed for a total of 144,000 fans at the massive Nissan Stadium, with each show accommodating 72,000 attendees. The enormous I-shaped stage and large screens, with additional thrust stages extending to the sides, emphasized the venue's impressive scale.

In Japan, known as the second-largest music market globally, performing solo at Nissan Stadium is a rare feat, even for local artists, making it a "dream stage." Seventeen is the second K-pop act, following TVXQ, to fill this prestigious venue.

The concert began with a powerful live band performance. As the members, dressed in silver outfits, appeared, the crowd's deafening cheers echoed through the stadium. The live band's dynamic sound added a distinct vibrancy and intensity to the performance.

Seventeen kicked off the show with their hit song 'Super.' Woozi's commanding shout of "Ha!" set the tone, and the group's fierce determination was evident.

Seventeen's stadium tour, which started on March 30-31 at Incheon Asiad Main Stadium, included performances at Seoul World Cup Stadium on April 27-28, and Japan's Osaka Yanmar Stadium Nagai on May 18-19, before arriving at Nissan Stadium. Their concerts attracted a total audience of 380,000, with 126,000 in Korea and 254,000 in Japan.

The concert featured a diverse setlist, including the best album's title track 'Maestro,' 'Clap,' 'Don't Wanna Cry,' 'Left & Right,' and the Japanese version of 'Rock with You,' showcasing their numerous hits.

The 9th anniversary of Seventeen's debut added special meaning to the event. Since their debut in May 2015 with 'Adore U,' Seventeen has risen to the top of the K-pop scene with their impressive performances, rap, vocals, and dance skills. Their 11th mini-album 'Seventeenth Heaven,' released in October last year, made history by surpassing 5 million sales in its first week, a record in K-pop history.

Joshua shared his joy, saying, "I'm so happy to share this moment with Carats. The memories of performing on such a big stage will always stay with me." Wonwoo added, "I've been looking forward to meeting you all. I'll give my all today. Let's make great memories together."

The concert featured various stage setups, including a main stage, flying stages where members performed while suspended in the air, and second stages for closer interaction with the audience. A light stick event created the 'SVT ♥ CARAT' logo in the audience, adding to the excitement.

To coincide with the concert, Seventeen hosted the urban concert play park 'Follow the City' in Osaka and Yokohama, featuring pop-up stores, fan parties, restaurants, and photo exhibitions at local landmarks and tourist spots.

The group also performed unit stages, with the vocal unit (Jeonghan, Joshua, Woozi, DK, Seungkwan), performance unit (Jun, Hoshi, The8, Dino), and hip-hop unit (S.Coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon) showcasing their talents.

The concert concluded with 'Headliner' from their 11th mini-album and their hit song 'Very Nice (NICE).'

Next month, Seventeen will be the first K-pop act to perform on the main stage of the UK's Glastonbury Festival and will also take the stage at the 'Lollapalooza Berlin' music festival in Germany in September.

"I'm your charger, Jeonghan. Let me recharge you. Shall we recharge properly today? Let's complete the charge perfectly!" Jeonghan enthused.
