Girls Generation Sunny to take MC for variety 'Legendary Trainee' as bu-kae Soon-kyu

SEOUL, Aug. 10 (Yonhap) -- Sunny, from girl band Girls Generation, will take her first MC on a web variety show dubbed “Legendary Trainee” as ‘Soon-kyu,’ her bu-kae (sub-character which is a slang meaning a second or alternative character or persona).

She will be leading the show disguised as a perfect 15-year-trainee who excels at everything including vocal, dance and humor, according to A+E Korea’s TV channel Lifetime Tuesday.

The concept of the show is Soon-kyu, a perfect trainee failing to debut, meeting idols and receiving tips for success. The first guest will be Eun-hyuk and Ryeo-wook from boy group Super Junior.

The variety show will premiere on MBC Plus’s YouTube channel, “ALL THE K-POP” on the 30th of August. Viewers can watch the show every Thursday on Lifetime channel from September 2.
