SEOUL, Sept. 3 (Yonhap) -- K-pop girl group Mamamoo, which recently celebrated its 7th debut anniversary, will release an album titled "I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" on Sept. 15, according to the group's agency RBW.

"This is an album that celebrates Mamamoo's journey over the years, and the title of the album is also based on the greeting line used to introduce Mamamoo. The album is expected to be the best version of portraying what Mamamoo is," RBW said.

Debuting with single "Mr. Ambiguous" in 2014, Mamamoo has been recognized for being the representative talented girl group of K-pop through their outstanding singing and stage performances. The four-piece-act has many hit songs such as "Piano Man," "Um Oh Ah Yeh," "You're the best," "Decalcomanie," and "Yes I am."

All four members, Solar, Hwasa, Wheein, and Moonbyul, also stood out from their solo activities which highlighted the member's distinct characteristics.

Recently, Mamamoo announced the group will continue team activities after being together for seven years, which is usually an idol group's exclusive contract period.

While members Solar, Moonbyul, and Hwasa renewed their contracts with RBW, Wheein decided to moved to another agency, but still continue their team activities as Mamamoo members.

"I SAY MAMAMOO: THE BEST" will contain all the hit songs fans have wanted to hear again.

Mamamoo plans to rearrange or re-record their hit songs to show deeper sentiment. Songs that were created in collaboration with other artists will also be reborn as Mamamoo's version.

In addition, unreleased songs and hidden tracks which were pre-performed at Mamamoo's recent online concert, will also be included.

The pre-sale for the album will begin at 3 p.m. on Friday through various online album sales sites.
