SEOUL, May 21 (Yonhap) --The Cultural Heritage Administration Royal Palaces and Tombs Center, along with the National Institute of Crop Science, will be holding a rice planting event at 11 a.m. on the 24th at Cheonguijeong, Okryucheon and , Changdeokgung Palace.

The Changdeokgung rice planting event is an annual event to reflect on the meaning of the Chingyeongrye (agriculture-related royal ceremonies) that the king of the Joseon Dynasty cultivated himself to pray for a good harvest along informing the importance of farming.

Although in 2020 and 2021, the ceremony was held simply on the day the palace was closed due to COVID-19, this year, the visitors will be able to experience it in the Changdeokgung Palace.
