SEOUL September, 13 (Yonhap) -- Collaborative event “2022 Mokkoji Korea” by South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism also known as MCST and Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange, also known as KOFICE will be held in both Uzbekistan and Malaysia, announced MCST on Tuesday.
“2022 Mokkoji Korea” which will be third of its kind will kick off in Tashkent, Uzbekistan starting on September 24 until September 25, and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia starting on November 12 until November 13. This will be the first offline event since the mass spread of COVID 19.
“2022 Mokkoji Korea” will feature segments for Hallyu enthusiasts to learn and enjoy South Korean food, fashion, beauty, games and more. The event will feature stages of Kai from K-pop boy group EXO, female K-pop singer Ailee, and various K-pop groups. Word mokkoji is a traditional Korean word for gathering up of crowds due to parties or get together.
In order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between South Korea and Uzbekistan, “Mokkoji Korea” will feature “Mokkoji Square” which will exhibit South Korean Webtoon, “Mokkoji Kitchen” which will showcase Korean foods, “Mokkoji Market” which will advertise Korean product sold in Uzbekistan, “Mini stage,” “Mokkoji Concert” and more.
“Mokkoji Square” will feature “Extra Ordinary Attorney Woo,” “The Red Sleeve,” “Home Town Cha-Cha-Cha” and more South Korean popular drama series, and Webtoon “Handsome Hotteok,” “Sehwa, The Road to go with the flow” and more will be displayed while visitors will be able to try on Korean traditional clothes.
Throughout the “Mini Stage” South Korean chef Cha Min-wook will showcase Korean noodle dishes, whereas make-up specialist Shin Bia will demonstrate process of South Korean makeup.
“Mokkoji Concert” will kick off on September 25 at 6 p.m. in celebration of the festival. Throughout the festival, KAI of K-pop boy group EXO and singer Ailee, K-pop boy group F.Able and more will take the stage and perform while featuring the stages related to Korean food and traditional games. Singer Ailee made an announcement in advance that she will be collaborating with the team that wins “K-pop Dance Competition” which will be held throughout the “Mokkoji Korea.”
“Mokkoji Concert” which will be free of the admission charge is drawing a lot of attention throughout 24 different countries including Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan attracting more than the prepared seating, announced South Korean Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
“2022 Mokkoji Korea” will be available through the official web page “mokkojikorea.com” and the official YouTube channel for replays.
