SEOUL, Feb. 23 (Yonhap) - 4by4, a visual tech solution company, has announced on Thursday that it will provide a drama "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" with increased quality up to 8K ultra-high resolution, through Samsung Smart TV.

"Sungkyunkwan Scandal" is a popular drama that aired in 2010 starring actor Song Joong-ki with a maximum viewer rating of 14.3%.

4by4 has explained that it has installed 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal' in its own app “KEYCUT Play” installed in Samsung Smart TV. This app can be used by downloading it to all Samsung Smart TVs that have 4K or higher image quality since September last year.

4by4 explained that its own deep learning artificial intelligence (AI) technology "pixel," which maximizes the unique visual beauty of historical dramas, was used to upgrade the quality of the "Sungkyunkwan Scandal."

Yoon Joon-ho, CEO of 4by4, said, "We will be able to enjoy the 'Sungkyunkwan Scandal' which is an authentic content considering it was made 13 years ago," adding, "We will not only provide drama content through the app, but also expand the scope of technology and industry."
