SEOUL, Dec. 22 (Yonhap) -- Kakao Entertainment announced on Thursday that novel 'Dating My Best Friend's Sister' released at Radish, an web novel platform of Tapas entertainment, North American corporation, will be released as an webtoon (digital cartoon) on Kakao page and Kakao webtoon.
Violet Paige's romance novel "Dating My Best Friend's Sister" depicts secret love life of the main character which begins when she accidentally bumps into her brother's friend, who she secretly loved in her teen days. The novel began serial publication in 2019 and now has 400,000 subscribers and about 50 million views.
Guelpi (tranlsated) and 281 wrote and Haengip (translated) drew the webtoon.
This is the first time work from Radish is produced in Korea as an webtoon.
Kakao Entertainment plans to collaborate with Trulite Korea to create Radish's No.1 work "The Billionaire's Surrogate" and romantic fantasy novel "My Pirate Prine" into webtoons in the beginning of next year in Korea.
