BLACKPINK's Lisa to debut solo in Sep aiming for the global music market

SEOUL, Aug. 26 (Yonhap) -- Globally loved girl band BLACKPINK’s Lisa is soon to debut as a solo artist.

She will release her first solo single “LALISA” at 1 p.m. (KST) and 12 a.m. (EST) on the 10th of September, according to the artist’s management agency YG Entertainment Thursday.

“As this is a solo debut of Lisa from BLACKPINK who is receiving world class love, we aim for the global music market,” said the agency.

“Like the title of the album, you may be able to see the new Lisa and her originality,” said YG.

The track lists have not been unveiled yet.

The artist has recently raised more attention uploading a ‘Coming Soon’ poster on her social media page.

In the photo, she is sitting on the floor wearing a red dress that contrasts with the black background and is staring at the front with long braided hair. In the very front, the title of the album “LALISA” catches the eyes.

She is the group’s third member to debut as a solo following Jennie and Rose.

Lisa, the main dancer of the group, is globally loved with her outstanding performances.

She carries significant online effect as a K-pop artist with the most Instagram followers (around 58 million).

Earlier in the 23rd when the ‘Coming Soon’ poster was revealed, her name ranked 1st place on Twitter’s worldwide trend rank.
