SEOUL, Dec. 23 (Yonhap) —People are focusing on how many audiences the movie "Avatar: The Way of Water" (Avatar 2), the sequel to the movie "Avatar," will attract for Christmas (December 25).
 
According to the integrated network of movie tickets maintained by the Korean Film Council on Friday, the movie "Avatar 2," which is in its second week of release, has recorded 3.67 million cumulative audiences through the previous day, maintaining the top spot in the box office. The movie recorded a 76% reservation rate, with 1.19 million people making their reservations.
 
Avatar 2, which was released on December 14, attracted about 2 million people on the first weekend, from December 16 to 18. The average daily audience during the weekdays was around 250,000.
