SEOUL, Oct. 21 (Yonhap) -- Actor Kim Seon-ho's alleged ex-girlfriend, who recently claimed to have been forced by the actor to have an abortion, has said she received an apology from Kim and does not want to see any more false information publicized or exaggerated stories reproduced.
Her law firm also revealed that they were planning to take legal action against malicious content posted online.
On her previous post, which was uploaded four days ago, she added a new sentence saying, "I received an apology from him, and I think there were misunderstandings between us."
"I am sorry for inflicting unintentional damage to many people through my written post," she wrote. "There was a time when he and I truly loved each other, and I don't feel good seeing him break down in an instant due to my extreme statement."
"I hope to not see any more false information spread or exaggerated versions of Kim's story being reproduced," adding, "I feel heavy-hearted because this incident seems to have caused great damage to a lot of people."
On Thursday, a law firm representing Kim's former girlfriend stated, "We will take all possible legal measures against the malicious contents including reports, posts, and comments."
The law firm mentioned that she "is currently in a state of receiving severe mental pain to the point where it is hard for her to continue everyday life activities," and that her personal information have been 'indiscriminately' disclosed on online spaces and media outlets.
"We politely ask everyone to refrain from excessive speculation and defamation so that she does not suffer further damage," the company said.
On Oct. 17, when an anonymous writer, who claimed to be an ex-girlfriend of rising star "Actor K," exposed that she had been coerced into getting an abortion, many people speculated that Actor K referred to Kim, who was rising to stardom for his role in the hit television series "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha."
Three days after the controversy erupted, Kim belatedly admitted and apologized on Wednesday, saying, "I hurt her with my carelessness and inconsiderate behavior." The actor eventually dropped out of KBS' popular entertainment show "2 Days & 1 Night" and is unlikely to appear in his next films.
