SEOUL April 24 (Yonhap) -- South Korean drama series “Doctor Cha” which depicts a story of maternal figure who has dedicated over 20 years to her family, embarking on her own journey to live her life, has exceeded over 11 percent of viewing rate within only 4 episodes.
According to the Nielsen Television Audience Measurement company on Monday, the fourth episode of Doctor Cha, which has aired on April 23 at 10:30 p.m. through S.Korean broadcasting service JTBC has recorded 11.2 percent viewing rate.
Throughout the latest episode, female protagonist Cha Jung-sook, acted by Uhm Jung-hwa who decides to return to her previous career within the field of medical industry, who faces unexpected crisis as she gets to work with her husband, female who her husband has affair with, son, her son’s girlfriend and more.
Although diving right back in to the medical field in 20 years is uneasy, protagonist Cha Jung-sook manages to excel by using various information and life lessons learned from her experience in reality.
First Episode of “Doctor Cha” kicked off with only 4.9 percent viewing rate, however after showcasing the revenge on cheating husband and going up-against Cha Jung-sook’s mother in law who has been using her as a house maid, the viewing rate of the program continue to increase.
Although Cha Jung-sook is very talented and smart, who graduated with a college degree in medical field, due to managing households and doing all the chores, she has given up her dream of becoming a doctor.
