SEOUL, June 27 (Yonhap) -- SBS’ Friday-Saturday television series “The First Responders” will return to the small screens with its sequel on August 4, the local broadcaster said Tuesday.
“The First Responders 2” revolves around those who work at a police station, fire station and the National Forensic Service (NFS), while following their struggle to maintain civil safety in crime scenes and emergency situations.
Previously aired from last November to December, “The First Responders 1” received rave reviews for its fast-moving, novel plot lines. It scored the highest nationwide viewership ratings of 10.3 percent.
In the upcoming sequel, Kim Rae-won reprised his role as the passionate detective Jin Ho-gae. Son Ho-jun and Gong Seung-yeon will also co-star once again as the firefighter Bong Do-jin and paramedic Song Seol, respectively.
