SEOUL February 7 (Yonhap) -- South Korean movie director Hong Sang-soo and actress Kim Min-hee will be participating at the 73rd Berlin Film Festival in Germany on February 16.
According to the film production company on Tuesday, drector Hong who is currently staying in South Korea, will depart to France earlier than actress Kim Min-hee and participate at the exhibition happening in Paris Cinema Tech in between February 13 and 19.
Later on director will travel to Berlin and participate at the Berlin Film Festival from the February 19 until February 26. Actress Kim Min-hee who is not only in a romantic relationship with director Hong Sang-soo but also participated in the production of the movie which was invited to the festival and casts of the movies Ha Seung-guk, Kim Seung-yoon and more will participate at the festival.
Director Hong managed to set a record for reciving the invitation to the Berlin Film Festival for the fourth consecutive year with his 29th feature film “In Water” under the segment of Encounters.
Actor Yoo Tae-oh who received the invitation for appearing in the movie “Past Lives” which will be going up against Hong Sang-soo’s movie “In Water” will depart to Germany to participate in the festival. Actor plans to stay in Germany on February 18 and 19 and return to South Korea on 21.
Director Byun Sung-hyun, actress Jeon Do-yeon, Kim Si-a who participated in Netflix original movie “Kill BokSoon” will also depart to Germany on 16.
