SEOUL, Dec. 10 (Yonhap) -- The music video for a remix of the 2017 BTS hit "MIC Drop" has earned 1.1 billion views on YouTube, the group's management agency said Saturday.
The video, released in November 2017, hit the milestone at 12:51 a.m. Saturday after passing the 1 billion mark on July 26, according to Big Hit Music.
It is the group's fifth music video to surpass 1.1 billion YouTube views after "Boy With Love" recorded 1.4 billion, and "DNA" as well as "Dynamite" with both 1.3 billion.
After two months "MIC Drop" was dropped as part of BTS' album "LOVE YOURSELF: Her," the remix by American DJ and producer Steve Aoki was released. The remix version debuted at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 and stayed on the chart for 10 straight weeks.
The music video was praised for its spectacular performance and sensuous effects along with unique and intense sounds.
